Martha McClellan Brown
Martha McClellan Brown (April 16, 1838 – August 31, 1916) was a major leader in the temperance movement. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she and her husband published a temperance newspaper, the ''Alliance Monitor'', and she was editor from 1867 to 1876. She was an organizer of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, and was a leader of the Prohibition Party in Ohio. She served as vice-president of the Cincinnati Wesleyan Women's College.
